I just got back from a great PotLuck Con in New Orleans.
What a terrific gang of people. Great hang, great food …

and then right back to the studio

mixing a fun new band from Atlanta on Decca/Universal this month,

After LOve Willows, I will be getting ready to mix both of my labours of love
Ryanhood
and
Damon Castillo Band

I have been working on both of these records longer than expected
But
as a wiseman once said

Hey guys. I just finished mixing a new Edgar Winter record. He is one of my favorite artists along with his brother Johnny. Edgar is also part of Ringo Starr’s Allstarr Band. I was fortunate enough to have Edgar at my house on a couple of occasions. One Sunday afternoon, Edgar sat down at my old “yellow submarine” of a piano and wailed away. I was lucky to grab it with my cheese camera. He is wailing way on “Fly Away” from the first White Trash record

Dig the new site… Shane McFee designed it, and has rocked it up again! Shane McFee is the son of multi-instrumentalist musician extraordinare and Doobie Brother John McFee.

Shane also designed the Doobie Brothers website as well as kicking some heavy metal ass with his band Backmask

2008 has already been busy. Ross was just in the studio working on new music with icons The Doobie Brothers and famous producer Ted Templeman. Because of the touring schedule,they will be recording on and off throughout the year for a release next year. In addition, he recently was tracking strings for the Jonas Brothers new record,tracking strings with Justin Timberlake and Charlie Sexton. Along with mixing for a new Jackie Greene and young pop star Vanessa Hudgeons new record.

Currently Ross is back in the studio producing a new record for awesome soul/groove funksters, The Damon Castillo Band from San Luis Obisbo, CA

Ross has been continuing work on a new record from acoustic rock specialists Ryanhood from Tucson, AZ.

2007 was a busy year and mixed bag of producing and engineering. Ross engineered new records for Jimmy Eat World, Lifehouse, Rooney, The Jonas Brothers and Graham Colton with John Fields producing. He also engineered Aly and Aj, Thousand Foot Krutch, and Sick Puppies with Ken Andrews and Armato/James.

Ross finished the late fall of 2007 by engineering a new record for We Are Scientists on Virgin and young rockers Fallbrooke.

In December, he was in Miami with brothers Stephen and Damian Marley.

Yeah! We won!

In 2006, Ross produced, mixed and engineered on Ziggy Marley’s new release, titled Love is My Religion out on the Marley family label, Tuff Gong. Love is My Religion won the Grammy for Best Reggae Record of the Year. See the Press Release on Ziggy’s website.
